I’m not hosting Thanksgiving dinner this year, but it’s still one of my favorite holidays and while I love all the festivities and decorating that comes along with Christmas, I’ll never skip over Thanksgiving. It’s a time to pause and share a meal with those we hold dear. At my house, we always watch THE parade (you know the one), some football, and stuff ourselves with champagne and appetizers even before the main event. With all that’s going on in the world these days, I feel more thankful than ever for all that I have. It’s easy to take life for granted, but I encourage you to stop and smell the centerpiece and hug your family just a little extra tightly today. So for now, pause and enjoy this collection of beautiful tablescapes to get you in the spirit. You may resume your holiday decorating and shopping on Friday.

This mix of modern black plates, elegant gold chargers and flowers along with a rustic table is spot-on. I even love the little feather on top of the napkin.

What many of these have in common is a lovely pop of black which I think really brings out the other textures and colors. Also loving the use of gold flatware. I just recently bought these for myself.

I love the idea of taking the feast outside, as long as the weather is nice in your area or you have cozy blankets or an outdoor fireplace.

Including a spot for guests to write what they’re thankful for is a nice touch.

Oh and I always make an apple pie using this classic recipe from Martha Stewart. Always a crowd pleaser. Happy Thanksgiving! xo
