I hope your new year is off to a great start. Mine is and because we’ve officially launched Graham Hill Design! It’s been a labor of love and has tested my patience more than once, but I’m excited to start 2017 with a goal that’s been on the horizon for a while. If you’re coming over from Cottage Number 46, thank you for making the turn! You can still see inspiring interiors on a regular basis. We’ll be blogging about projects, design trends and more under the umbrella of “inspiration”. You can also see what we have to offer in the form of interior design and styling services.
Speaking of design trends, the new year is a good time to refresh and take stock of what’s to come. In the month of January I’ll be talking about my favorite interior design trends for 2017. One of the trends I’m excited to see more of this year is the use of dark green. I’m a fan of green in general, but specifically the deep dark green tones. In this current state of the world, we’ll be seeing grayed down greens and comforting muted colors with deep green, grays and taupes continuing to show up on walls, furniture, kitchen and bath cabinets and more.
These next three designs are all stunning examples of the use of deep green on walls. It looks amazing on millwork. I cannot get over the awesomeness of this green shiplap by Kate Marker Interiors. It’s just perfection combined with the natural wood vanity (hint: another trend for 2017) and black and white accents.
We’ll be seeing more green in the form of kitchen cabinetry. This deep, almost black, green pairs perfectly with this gorgeous countertop and little touches of brass.
If you want to try out green in 2017, but you don’t want to invest in a big paint job or expensive furniture, try it out by adding some pillows other accessories. Better yet, get in touch with us to see how we can help!
Cheers to more design trend goodness in 2017!
